TPS51125 provides a flexible power solution for notebook systems by integrating two synchronous buck controllers plus additional functions:

• Integrated LDOs: 5 V and 3.3 V LDOs capable of 100 mA, with internal switches

• Built‑in reference: 1% accuracy 2 V reference output

• Control scheme: Adaptive On‑Time (D‑CAP) control, with selectable frequency settings

• Soft start: 1.6 ms internal voltage servo soft start

• Modes: Supports light‑load efficiency and PWM operation; includes a selectable “Out‑of‑Audio” mode to reduce acoustic noise at light loads

• Protection & monitoring:

  • Over‑voltage protection (OVP) / under‑voltage protection (UVP)

  • Over‑current protection (OCP)

  • Thermal shutdown (non‑latch)

  • Built‑in output discharge

  • Power‑good output

• Current sensing: The internal sense detects R_DS(on) variation (≈ 4500 ppm/°C)
