Description
The RT8223MGQW is a high-integration, high-efficiency power management IC designed for modern electronics requiring multiple regulated rails. It features two synchronous step-down (buck) channels with integrated MOSFETs, each capable of handling adjustable output voltages (typically from ~0.6 V up to around 5.5 V) and operating from a wide input voltage range (4.5 V to 36 V). Its very low quiescent current (around 30 µA typical) and high efficiency (up to ~95%) make it an excellent choice for space- and power-sensitive applications.
The device comes packaged in a compact QFN-20 format (approx. 4.0 × 4.0 mm), enabling high-density PCB layouts. It includes features such as cycle-by-cycle current-limit, thermal shutdown protection, and soft-start/soft-discharge for safe power-up and power-down sequencing. Applications include battery-powered systems, industrial/automotive electronics, compact computing platforms, and any design needing efficient dual-rail generation from a single input source.
