Description
SY8288RAC – High-Current Synchronous Buck Regulator from Silergy
The SY8288RAC is a synchronous step-down DC-DC converter designed to deliver up to 8 A output current. It supports a wide input voltage range from 4 V to 23 V and provides a low minimum output voltage of 0.6 V. This makes it suitable for various power rails in notebook, embedded, and industrial systems.
The device features high efficiency through synchronous rectification, along with fast transient response control. It includes protection features such as overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP) with latch‑off behavior, and thermal shutdown. The converter also offers a Power-Good (PG) indicator and auto-discharge function for orderly shut-down. Its compact package is QFN 3×3 mm, 20-pin.
Silergy notes that while the part is still in production, it is not recommended for new designs, indicating it may be approaching end-of-life.
