NCP81253 – Compact Dual MOSFET Gate Driver for Power Conversion
The NCP81253 is a high-performance dual MOSFET gate driver designed for driving both high-side and low-side power MOSFETs in synchronous buck converters. Its ultra-compact footprint (2 mm × 2 mm) makes it well-suited for space-constrained applications such as notebook and desktop power systems.
It features tri-state PWM and enable inputs to allow its outputs to be placed into a high-impedance state. An integrated bootstrap diode helps reduce the number of external components needed. The IC also incorporates VCC undervoltage lockout, which ensures the outputs remain off when supply voltage is too low.
